Ronja has been an indispensable part of the national team for years, and last year she became European champion with the women's team. She's technically strong in every area of the game; her hitting stands out in particular: thanks to excellent footwork, she converts every good set – cleverly, flexibly and cleanly. With her sharp eye she reads the game down to the last detail, and with her wealth of international experience she pushes the whole team forward.

Jessi is a great example of how passion, enjoyment, and ambitious competitive sports can go hand in hand. With her positive energy, she not only elevates her own game but also brings her teammates to a higher level. Her strong defensive plays and technical precision when finishing points are especially impressive, as she consistently finds the right gaps and creates opportunities. Jessi has taken another big step forward this year, and we are excited to have her continue representing the national team. After her impressive mixed success at the last World Championships, we are looking forward to seeing what highlights are still to come.

Klara Bauer

1. Roundnet Club Köln

After a successful World Championship in 2024, Klara became European champion with the team last year. She brings full power and great overview to the squad, along with consistency and tactical adaptability. Even against a strong defense she still finds a gap on the hit. And whatever she may claim herself: pulling is part of her repertoire too. She rounded off her season so far with another win at her home tournament in Köln.

Hella Senger

Hella Senger , 25

With a double podium finish in Potsdam (3rd place in Contender/Pro Women and 1st place in Pro Mixed), Hella has impressively confirmed her strong performances from the league season. As the third-place finisher in the RG Awards category “Breakout Player Female”, she continues her rapid rise. With her first-ever nomination, she now has the chance to add the crowning achievement to an already remarkable career at an early stage. Can she make the leap all the way to the top?

Julia Stadler

Julia is the most accomplished player on our roster. As the 2024 World Championship silver medalist and with numerous other titles to her name, she has achieved almost everything there is to win in roundnet at both the national and international level. Her mental toughness, exceptional athleticism, and relentless defense set her apart. For Julia, a rally isn't over until the ball hits the ground—giving up is simply not an option. Get ready for plenty of airtime, whether it's from her powerful attacks or her spectacular defensive plays.

Jule Grill

This year, we are once again proud to welcome the 2025 German University Champion and European Champion into the circle of nominees. Despite the change of her playing partner, Jule has delivered strong performances and is determined to fight for a spot at the very top of the podium once again. Her versatility, game understanding, and dangerous serves make her an exceptional player. With her strong defense and ability to handle difficult situations, she has all the qualities needed to shine in the national team jersey.

Sophia Walter

After winning two European titles last year, Sophia went travelling first – which meant missing the start of the season. One tournament was enough to get back into it, and she was right back on form, celebrating a home win in Köln. Consistency and adaptability in defense are among her greatest strengths. In Sophia we have a true leader on and off the court – and we're sure that her commitment and team spirit will push the Worlds team forward.

Lina Günther

Lina Günther , 22

Lina has continued her rapid rise and once again confirmed her impressive development in 2025 as the best server of the year. With strong results such as 1st place Pro Women in Dresden, 2nd place Pro Women in Cologne, 3rd place Pro Mixed in Toulouse, as well as titles as German University Champion and German Indoor Champion, she has had an outstanding season. We are excited about the energy she brings to the team and hope she packs her dangerous serves for the World Championship in Paris as well.

Julia Kathy Grob

Think of Julia and two images come to mind straight away: the wind-up and fire on her serve – and the jump roll on her hit. There's so much power in her serves that the net sometimes seems to glow. Last year she became double European champion in the women's and mixed divisions and was a thoroughly deserved Player of the Year. We're delighted that Julia and her great sense of humour are an incredibly important part of the national team at Worlds 2026, too.

Franziska Stadler

Franziska Stadler , 27

Franzi is one of the strongest defensive players in German roundnet. With her exceptional athleticism and relentless work ethic, she is a key player for our team. Together with her sister Julia, she won the silver medal at the 2024 World Championships and has established herself among the world's best. Hardly any ball seems out of reach for her, her spectacular recovery sets turn seemingly lost rallies into new opportunities. One thing is certain when you're up against Franzi: every single point has to be earned, because she never gives up on a ball.

Nora Haas

Nora Haas , 30

1. Roundnet Club Köln

Hardly anyone has played more tournaments than Nora – she's been there from the very beginning and has already won plenty of big games. As an all-rounder she's dangerous in every situation; last year she became European champion with her mixed team. Since then she's gone up another gear, taking her defense to a new level through hard work in training. She has more than earned her place on the Worlds team.

Theresa Knauf

Resi has been one of the defining players in German roundnet for years. She has celebrated major successes in both the women's and mixed divisions and has become an indispensable part of the national team. Her exceptional speed, composure under pressure, and relentless determination make her a constant presence on the court. Few players cover as much ground or chase down as many balls as Resi. As a German Champion and one of the most experienced athletes on the team, she is a key pillar of our national squad.

With his elegance and unique serving style, Georg earned his spot on the team this year, and we couldn't be happier to have him on our side.

Lennart Kühner

Lennart wows audiences with his spectacular playing style: He dives for every ball, never gives up—and after three matches at most, his shirt looks like the court. His left-handed style has made more than a few opponents look out of their depth. Off the court, too, he gives it his all: constantly analyzing, learning, and improving. With this energy he’s been able to reach new heights this year. With an ETS victory and many other strong finishes, Lennart is now a solid fixture on the German national team.

Mathis? The guy with the red jersey, red shorts, and red shoes? Yes! Exactly that guy! With his second-place finish in Cologne, Mathis finally showed what a competitor he really is and what kind of serves he can unleash. With great ambition and dedication, he earned his spot on the team this year.

Over the past few years, the once playful talent has developed into one of Europe's strongest players. His ETS victory in Budapest marks the biggest achievement of his career so far—but Emil is far from finished. Can he surpass himself once again this year and reach for the stars? We're thrilled to have you back, bringing your energy and dedication to the team!

Despite his long winter break, he once again secured an impressive five tournament victories in 2026. As the reigning World and European Champion, he is one of the best players in the world – and we are fortunate to have such an exceptional athlete among us. Let’s enjoy and appreciate him while he is still competing, because players of this caliber are truly special.

Lucas has now become a true veteran at the top of European Roundnet—and rightly so. He’s probably one of the best all-around players on the German team. And despite a rough season, he fought his way through and demonstrated his mental strength and determination to get even better this year. Don’t be fooled—beating CR7 again this year will be very difficult!

Consistent, more consistent—Paul Schirop. There’s probably no one on this planet with fewer double faults. This man serves more consistently than a waiter during peak hours. But his serves only show the mindset with which Paul approaches this sport: with incredible discipline and ambition. He’ll represent Germany better than ever before. But one question remains: Will he win the world championship title this year?

Arriving with a Masters title and an ETS victory under his belt, he's full of confidence. Thanks to his relentless training, he's currently performing at the highest level of his career. GiG, Joni is here. The walking meme machine has returned! Feared for his almost unreturnable serves, he's also a highly versatile hitter who causes problems for every opponent while making it all look way too easy. But even Joni isn't getting any younger, and after many years in the game, he can look back on an incredible journey and remarkable growth. This year in particular, he's taken his defensive skills to a whole new level. One thing's for sure: Joni is not someone you beat easily.

Tim has captivated the Roundnet world with his unique fakes, low and precise hits, and incredible defensive play. His style embodies a perfect blend of confidence, composure, and elegance. As the reigning German Champion and winner of his first ETS title in 2025, he proved once again this year that he is not only among Germany's elite, but also one of the very best players in Europe.

COACH WOMEN +++ There is probably hardly a person in the roundnet scene who hasn't seen a highlight play by Matti Rolf... er, Dreiling. With his spectacular style of play, he has been a permanent guest on the podiums in recent years. After taking a step back from the sport in recent years, he has already gained a lot of experience as a coach at the 1st Roundnet Club Cologne. Among other things, he has helped to shape Team Slay into national players. We are delighted that he will now also be coaching the entire national team.

Alexa Peusch

COACH WOMEN +++ If you look at the results lists from the last few years, there's almost no tournament that Alexa hasn't won. As a five-time (!) German champion, she is the most decorated player in German roundnet history. So Alexa knows how to win tournaments. We are extremely pleased that she has now agreed to pass on this knowledge and passion for the sport and become part of the coaching team. With her expertise and her network in the German and global roundnet scene, she will help the team move forward.

COACH MEN +++ Anyone who knows Fabi knows: this man lives Roundnet. Not only as a (national) player has he probably experienced everything you can experience. He has also gained many years of experience as a coach in Kassel and is one of the reasons why the Raccoons have been at the top of the most successful communities in Germany for years. With his meticulous approach and incredible motivation, he will be an enormous added value for the national team.

COACH MEN +++ A current world champion as a coach. Actually unthinkable, but after his (temporary) career end, Lukas immediately agreed to contribute his incredible expertise in a new role. With him, we are gaining a coach who has dominated the roundnet scene in Europe in recent years and has earned himself the status of “legend” with his World Cup title at the latest. We are extremely happy to be able to provide our players with Lukas, a coach who understands the sport of roundnet in greater depth than almost anyone else.

TEAM MANAGER +++ When we think of Toni, the following terms spontaneously come to mind: good-humoured, popular everywhere, communicative, organizational talent, great English. Toni has established herself as an integral part of the Roundnet community in recent years and will be an enormous asset to the national team with her open manner.

Paula Alt

SPORTY PSYCHOLOGIST +++ Paula joined the team in the spring of 2025 and immediately enriched the team with her positive charisma, her enthusiasm for supporting development processes and her clear view of individual and team dynamic potential. She creates group and individual sessions for the national team and works closely with the coaches to strengthen mental resources in a targeted manner and promote performance-relevant skills in the long term. Paula thus expands our interdisciplinary circle of expertise and we are delighted that we have been able to take another step towards professionalizing the national team with her. Welcome on board!
