Blue and green bruises - that's how Sophia's body often looks after a day at the tournament, which shows how much commitment and passion she puts into playing roundnet. She is known for her strong backhand serve and the power of her hits. Both on and off the court, the likeable player from Cologne is always in a good mood and has a cheeky comment - her performance so far this season speaks for itself, which is why she has more than earned her place in the national team.

As the current German mixed champion and winner of the RG Award for "Best Server (f)" in 2023, Alexa is once again part of the national team this year. A permanent participant in German tournaments, she also won the title at the German Nationals last year in addition to the European Championship. Together with Tina Gulden, she has already secured second place twice this year at the German Masters tournaments in Cologne and Potsdam and the bronze medal at the German Mixed Championships with Peer Kanis. Julia is known for never giving up on any ball – she is often seen diving to the ground in a fierce battle for the ball, always ready to win the next point. Her relentless effort and fighting spirit make her a true pillar of the 2024 World Championship team.

Ronja Lorenz

Ronja was also part of the national team at the first World Championship in 2022. Back then, she was still a newcomer in the role of an alternate, but now she is not only a permanent member of the German national team, but is also without question one of the absolute elite of the roundnet world. After a 2nd place and an extremely strong final performance at the STS Championships 2023, she showed this year with new team partners, among other things with a 2nd place at the Cologne Trophy and above all with a dominant victory at the ETS Bologna, that she more than deserved these results and also her nomination with her performance.

Jessica Riedelsheimer

The Regensburg native may not have been on everyone's radar in recent years, but since this winter at the latest, the defense machine has arrived at the absolute elite in Germany thanks to her athletic style of play. She has already won the 1. Roundnet Bundesliga with her team this year and celebrated tournament successes in Cologne and Regensburg as a duo. She also achieved strong results in Leuven (Belgium) and Kiel this year, all without a permanent team partner. Her unique style of play, her qualities as an absolute team player and her flexibility will be important assets for the German team.

Paul Siemer is a man who can't lose - in two ways. Anyone who has ever actually seen Paul lose, knows that it's best to leave him alone for a while. At the same time, he has 30 tournament wins in his Roundnet career, and that's just the ones registered in Playerzone. Not even a 6-month trip around the world could interrupt his winning streak. Paul brings the complete skillset to the net and proves himself time and time again as one of the best, if not the best, roundnet player in Europe. Together with his partner Lukas, their aim this year is to conquer the world's elite.

However, the social media celebrity has made huge strides in all areas of the game and that's why it's impossible to imagine the team without him! We're already looking forward to all the reels that will be created in London and hope not to be marked too often for all opponents, which usually means nothing good...

Emil is celebrating his German national team debut this year and will be supporting our team in London. The cheerful Berliner is almost always in a good mood, celebrates everything and everyone for cool plays and always gives you the feeling of being at home at the net. Unfortunately, Emil is not quite so nice to his opponents when it comes to distributing points and impresses with his extreme athleticism in finishing and receiving. His variance in serving rounds off Emil's skillset perfectly and makes him one of the most dangerous all-rounders in Europe! With his good mood, which can only be spoiled by terrible positional play in defense, Emil will infect the team and ensure a positive atmosphere even in the rain in London.

Especially in mixed, Peer shows time and time and again why he is one of the best in this division with his unique style of play. With his gravity-defying acrobatics, tireless speed and serves that you would never have thought possible before, it sometimes feels like you're watching a cartoon when he's standing at the net (or in the air). Peer already represented Germany in the mixed at the last World Championships and we are proud to have him back in the team, stronger than ever before after an injury last year.

When he plays, he invariably competes for one of the top spots, no matter who else is playing. If not with aces, he breaks his opponents point by point with overshadowing blocks and ice-cold finishes. Julian certainly has nothing to hide at the World Championships.

But Lukas has come back stronger than ever and is out for blood with his team partner Paul, eager to put a stop to the North Americans dominating the peak of Roundnet. After the all-round success of the 2022 World Championships in Molenheide and winning the 2023 European Championships, the coaching team is once again undergoing some major changes, but one important constant in the team remains: JP! The northern light from Kiel is held in high regard by Germany's top players in his role as coach. Anyone who has had the pleasure of experiencing his coaching will have quickly noticed that JP is a tactical genius with a focused, analytical eye. With his authenticity and 100% commitment, he succeeds in offering constructive criticism and encouragement to the players. But he has also been shining as a player since 2022 with different playing partners at the highest level of play in Germany with outstanding placings. Due to his repeatedly proven expertise and reliability as well as his valuable experience as a national coach in recent years, we are very pleased to have Jan on board in the future.

Christin Gerecke

With Christin as national coach, the federation landed an absolute stroke of luck last year. Not only did she prove her organizational skills in her work in the league department and was able to bring them to the national team, but she also showed what she is capable of with many placings on the podium and a strong 4th place at the German Championships in 2023. The Hildesheim native knows her way around both the women's and mixed game and was able to demonstrate her roundnet expertise at the European Championships, as well as her exemplary connection with the players, who hold her in high regard. It was not least because of her that the title was brought to Germany last year, and this year she is bringing all her skills to bear to help the national team on its way to the World Championships.

With around 7 years of roundnet experience, Clemens has already experienced almost everything our young sport has to offer. The old master is known to have an eye for technique, is tactically well versed in all aspects of the game and proves to the next generation from time to time at tournaments how the game works. As a coach at the 1st Roundnet Club Cologne for many years, the main organizer of the 1st Coach Camp 2021 and with his specialist knowledge in the areas of nutrition, prevention, rehabilitation and athletics, he brings everything you could wish for in a national coach.

With Rosa, a second member of the 2022 national team is now part of the coaching team. In addition to her many years of experience as one of Germany's top players, she can also rely on her experience in competitive sports as a lacrosse player in the 1st Bundesliga. Since 2021, she has been gaining coaching experience as a coach in the Karlsruhe community and has contributed a lot to Karlsruhe not only being one of the most active and strongest developing communities, but also being firmly anchored in the 1st Bundesliga. She knows the German roundnet scene inside and out, and with her international experience she will be immensely valuable to the coaching team.

Sascha Lang

For years, Sascha was part of the board of the 1st Roundnet Club Mainz. He shapes and promotes one of the most active communities in Germany, which not only managed to make it into the 1st Bundesliga, but will also host the German Championships in 2024. As an instructor at the Trainer Camp 2023, he passed on his technical and tactical knowledge, which makes him one of Germany's top players, to the next generation. This year, he is putting his own ambitions on hold and putting his skills at the disposal of the national team instead. With his analytical eye and organizational talent, there is no doubt that our roundnet nerd will be a very important part of the team.

Having only been active as a player since 2023, the newcomer from Frankfurt may not yet be a household name to some. However, with his voluntary work for the Competitive Sports Department and his easy-going manner, he has integrated himself directly into the association and made a name for himself. As an instructor at the Coach Camp 2023, he contributed his expertise, which he uses on a daily basis as an athletics trainer and senior sports scientist at FSV Frankfurt's youth youth football performance center. His know-how will now also help Germany's top players to take their game to the next level and will be a great help to the team on the way to the World Cup.
