German Roundnet Championships 2024 let’s go! Here you can find all the necessary information:

Registration modalities

Anyone who is an RG member and has German citizenship can register. As described in the article on the website, places will be allocated according to sporting criteria. The following criteria must therefore be met to participate in the 2024 German Championships

• German citizenship (must be proven on the day of the tournament via identity card or passport)
• Membership of Roundnet Germany e.V. (must already be present at the time of registration)
• Sporting qualification 

The registration window will be open between Monday, May 6, 2024, and Thursday, May 9, 2024. 

If not all places are filled during this period, the remaining places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. German citizenship and membership of Roundnet Germany e.V. remain a prerequisite.

Specific information

The 1st Roundnet Club Mainz e.V. is delighted to be hosting the German Roundet Championships 2024 - Mixed. After the successful Mainzelmenschen Cup 2023, we have tasted blood and are eager to make Mainz the German Roundet Capital 2024. You can expect a weekend packed with top-class roundet presented by the best mixed teams in Germany. In addition, we offer you a supporting program of side games such as beach volleyball and pick-ups, delicious cold drinks & snacks, an afterparty and of course the exchange with other roundnet enthusiasts.

We will provide you with the exact schedule as soon as possible. 

Location

The tournament will take place on the opposite side of the Rhine from Mainz in the Hessian state capital of Wiesbaden in the Bierstadt district. The surface consists of modern artificial turf, and all types of footwear are permitted with the exception of metal studs. Changing rooms and all necessary sanitary facilities are available on site.

Arrival

Arrival is possible from Friday evening. A generous number of parking spaces are available on site. If these are not sufficient, you can park in the surrounding area. 

For all Deutsche Bahn and public transport users, we recommend traveling via Wiesbaden main station. From there, the fastest connection is bus line 37 to the Zieglerstraße stop, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the sports field. 

Catering

The participation fee includes lunch on Saturday. Here you can choose between a vegetarian and a vegan bowl. In addition, another bowl can be booked as lunch for Sunday for €10 per person. For 5€ each you can also book an overnight stay (camping in a separate outdoor area directly at the sports field) including breakfast for Saturday and Sunday. To avoid waste, we ask you to bring your own cutlery and crockery. You don't need cups, as you can buy our special DM cups on site :). We will provide a variety of snacks and cold drinks throughout the weekend. If you'd like to buy your own food, there's a Netto supermarket and a bakery within walking distance.

Overnight stay

The main accommodation option is camping on the meadow of the sports field. This is so spacious that there is room for everyone. For all those who appreciate the comfort of civilization and prefer to spend the night with a roof over their heads, we have concluded a cooperation agreement with the Penta Hotel in Wiesbaden, through which we will receive discounted rates. More information will follow. We cannot guarantee sleeping places in the community, but will certainly be available in individual cases. However, you should bear in mind that in many cases you will have to drive from Wiesbaden to Mainz in the evening. 

Party

Depending on your sporting ambitions, we have rented the clubhouse of the sports field for us to party together on Saturday evening or to let the evening come to a relaxed end. There we will prepare some party games and provide a midnight snack.

Miscellaneous

In cooperation with the fitness studio Aktiv & Gesund, there will be a "physio station". Here you can keep warm and supple with blackrolls and terra bands.
